Yearbook Journalism
I took over for the Yearbook advisor at a local high school in 2015, just as I was finishing my BS in Communication-Journalism degree. It was my final semester. She was diagnosed with a brain tumor and I was interning as her teaching assistant because I had a dream to enter secondary education on an alternate route to licensure pathway offered by my state board of education. I was 46 years old with kids in middle and high school. Iād been taking photography courses as part of my degree and practicing with rented equipment from a local camera shop. The images below are my very first published images.
